The Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) awards 21 prize-winning teams of the “Start-up Competition – Digital Innovations” with a total of over 300,000 euros in prize money. Dr Anna Christmann, BMWK Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Start-ups, will give a keynote speech at the virtual award ceremony and present the prizes to the founders.

Six founding teams will each receive a Gründungspreis+ and 32,000 euros for their particularly outstanding idea – including the winner of the special prize “Digital Sustainability”. Fifteen of the submitted business ideas will be awarded a Founder’s Prize, which comes with 7,000 euros in prize money. In addition to the prize money, the winning teams benefit from individual coaching, seminars and networking opportunities. All participants in the start-up competition also receive a written assessment of their start-up idea.
